Olga Galaktionova, Director of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, said during the presentation of the National Intermuseum Project "Author Unknown" on November 21 that it was necessary to involve young people in the profession of restorer.

"I am obsessed with the idea of attracting young people to this particular job, so that young people choose the profession of a restorer as their profession. <...> The primary task now is to form the demand of young people in this profession," Galaktionova said.

Victoria Markova, Chief Researcher at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, said that the main mission of the museum is the preservation and scientific study of cultural and artistic heritage.

"Without science, without study, without a proper understanding and proper assessment of what is in museums, it is impossible to build all other work, including popularization, <...> and exhibition work," she said.

Earlier, on November 4, the innovative museums of the BRICS countries united into an international association — a corresponding memorandum was signed at the Open Atom forum in Moscow. The purpose of the association is to establish and strengthen cultural, educational, scientific and technological ties between the BRICS member states, build friendly relations between peoples based on universal human values, develop interest in national culture and sciences, and attract people from different countries to study innovations without breaking away from the cultures of their peoples.
