In Sevastopol, the reconstruction of the main water pipeline, which connects water hubs No. 7 and No. 20, is nearing completion. The facility's readiness exceeds 80%, the press service of the regional government reported on Friday, November 21.

The large-scale project covers the territory of four districts. The route of the new water pipeline with a length of about 10 km was laid along General Melnik, Second Defense Streets, General Morgunov Highway, General Ostryakov Avenue. The pipeline route ends at Khrustaleva Street, where there is a ring with the existing network.

Most of the pipes have already been laid, hydraulic tests have been carried out, wells and chambers have been installed. Work is currently underway on Ostryakova Avenue, which is why traffic has been temporarily restricted on the backup road.

Currently, the facility employs more than 20 workers and five engineering and technical specialists. 11 pieces of equipment are involved, including two horizontal directional drilling rigs. The main works are planned to be completed by the end of 2025, writes IA SevastopolMedia.

Earlier it was reported that a new high-pressure gas pipeline will be launched in December in the direction of the Baydar Valley near Sevastopol. The infrastructure is designed for 50 years of service, followed by extended service life.
