Moscow has won the national prize in the field of AI

The winners of the national award "Leaders of Artificial Intelligence" have been announced in Moscow. In the nomination "For the development of an AI service", the capital's solution "Generative Design in Construction" was noted, Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina said.

Moscow is already implementing more than 120 projects using artificial intelligence, Sergunina noted. "We consider advanced technologies as an important tool for improving the quality of life of every person, ensuring sustainable development, creating an efficient economy and a comfortable urban environment," the Deputy mayor emphasized.

The Generative Design in Construction service is integrated into the digital twin of the capital, a virtual reality replica of the city containing 9,000 analytical layers with data. AI creates integrated models with social institutions and all necessary infrastructure, taking into account economic efficiency, transport accessibility and other conditions. Thanks to the digital twin, the capital's authorities make more than 2,000 management decisions at various levels per year.

Moscow's digital twin is one of the innovative domestic practices that the city regularly presents at key profile events in Russia and abroad, Sergunina noted. In particular, this and other systems were presented at the GITEX Global international technology exhibition in Dubai and the national Digital Solutions Forum in Moscow.

In Moscow, artificial intelligence is used in various fields, from education and medicine to housing and communal services. In 2024, the city government launched its own full-cycle platform for the development, testing and operation of AI models. You can write program code on it and train neural networks, test them on high-performance computing capacities. In the first months, thanks to the project, over 80 AI solutions were created and tested: chatbots, support call classifiers, and other products.
