The court sentenced a resident of the Rostov region to 12 years in a penal colony for high treason. This was announced on November 21 by the press service of the Federal Security Service (FSB) for the region.

According to the agency, the person involved gave information to representatives of the Ukrainian intelligence service about the deployment of Russian troops in Crimea. This data could have been used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to launch attacks on Russian positions.

"She has been sentenced to 12 years in prison to be served in a general regime colony," TASS quoted the message as saying.

Earlier that day, a resident of the Zaporizhia region was sentenced to 12 years in prison for spying on the Russian army. It was noted that the person involved in the Telegram sent photos of the locations of Russian troops and military equipment in Berdyansk to the Ukrainian side.
