The mother of a student poisoned by an unknown gas in Krasnodar revealed the details of the incident

Anastasia Galushkina, the mother of a student who was poisoned by an unknown gas in Krasnodar, shared details of the incident with Izvestia on November 21.

She said that on Tuesday, at about 17:00 Moscow time, her son called her and reported feeling unwell. A little later, he texted that another student had also become ill, and there was a strong smell of gas in the biology room. Despite the condition of the students, the teacher did not let the children out of the classroom.

"When the girl had already fallen, then only the biology teacher reacted to the need to really let the children out," Galushkina said.

She clarified that some of the students had hallucinations, while others had darkening of the eyes.

"They brought us [by ambulance], they didn't let him get up, he couldn't anymore. <...> He was talking slowly, indistinctly. We were taken to the regional children's hospital, and intensive care doctors examined us in the emergency department...> We were admitted to the pulmonology department, IVs were prescribed," Anastasia said.

According to her, at the moment, poisoning by an unknown gas is indicated in the boy's medical record as a diagnosis.

The prosecutor's office came to the school to check the school. A representative of the Criminal Investigation Department came to Anastasia's son, took statements and requested an analysis that would reveal signs of gas poisoning.

Earlier, on November 20, the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Krasnodar Territory reported on the organization of a check on the fact of publications about the poisoning of school students with an unknown gas in the regional center. It was previously established that three schoolchildren felt unwell during lessons, and they went to a medical facility with signs of poisoning. According to the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Krasnodar Territory, the teacher responded to the complaints only after the condition of one of the students worsened. A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence).
