Banks have proposed to ban marketplaces from investing in discounts
The heads of Russian banks have proposed banning direct discounts and bonus programs from marketplaces. They sent the letter on November 20 to Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma.
"We consider it advisable to prohibit operators of intermediary platforms (marketplaces) from investing in lowering prices of goods, extending the ban to both direct discounts and promotions, as well as indirect forms of financing (bonus programs, refunds, marketing subsidies)," TASS cites the text of the letter.
