- The Russian government will allocate 33 billion rubles to almost 40 regions for social security
The Russian government will allocate about 33 billion rubles to almost 40 regions for the social security of residents. This was announced on November 20 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a meeting with ministers.
"Today we will send an additional 33 billion rubles to almost 40 regional budgets, including Russian border regions, to co—finance socially significant expenses," he said.
According to Mishustin, the funds allocated will be used, in particular, for payments to teachers, medical staff, and employees of cultural institutions.
Earlier in the day, the State Duma adopted the law on the federal budget for 2026-2028. It was specified that more than 10 trillion rubles would be allocated from the budget to improve the demographic situation. Among the measures to be taken are the payment of a single child benefit to families in need, the continuation of the implementation of the maternity capital program indexed to inflation, and the provision of families with children with the opportunity to receive the remaining funds of maternity capital without determining the purpose of their use.
