The St. Petersburg City Court, following a lawsuit by the prosecutor's office, declared the book Chronicles of the Reborn Arkanar by Boris Vishnevsky, a former deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the city (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), extremist. This was announced on November 20 by the joint press service of the city courts.

"The St. Petersburg City Court has satisfied the administrative claim," the courts' Telegram channel says.

Vishnevsky's case was initiated in April, after he became a suspect under Article 20.33 of the Administrative Code ("Participation in the activities of an undesirable organization"). It was accepted for production at the end of September. The prosecutor's office attached a statement from experts who concluded that the author seeks to show in his book the inconsistency of the current government, presents Russia "as a fascizing state," and also describes it as an "empire of hypocrisy" and a "third world."

In December 2024, the Vasileostrovsky District Court fined Vishnevsky, a former deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, because he did not submit an application to the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation to include himself in the list of foreign agents. The court fined the ex-deputy for an administrative charge of 35 thousand rubles.
