- The FSB detained a resident of the Chelyabinsk region in the case of the rehabilitation of Nazism
Employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Chelyabinsk region stopped the illegal activities of a local resident suspected of rehabilitating Nazism. This was announced on November 20 by the press service of the department.
"Employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Chelyabinsk region have identified and suppressed the illegal activities of a resident of the region, born in 2006, involved in carrying out calls for the rehabilitation of Nazism," the report says.
According to the agency, the teenager posted online materials supporting criminal groups convicted by the International Military Tribunal.
As a result of the operational search activities, it was established that the accused was aware of the public danger of his actions. He made information materials publicly available that justified the actions of Nazi groups. Based on this, a criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Rehabilitation of Nazism").
Earlier, on October 31, it was reported that a court had arrested historian Tamara Eidelman in absentia (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) for rehabilitating Nazism and spreading fakes about the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. According to the agency, on May 5, 2024, Eidelman posted a video of the author's program on social networks, which contains negatively colored statements about the actions of the USSR during the Second World War.
