The Tax Code of the Russian Federation has been amended to establish a single personal income tax rate of 30% for foreign agents. This was announced on November 20 by Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.

"In addition, foreign agents are now deprived of benefits related to tax exemption in some cases, and tax deductions," Volodin wrote on the Telegram channel.

Additionally, restrictions are introduced for organizations with the status of a foreign agent or a foreign agent's share in the authorized capital of more than 10%. Organizations will not be able to use preferential income tax rates and will lose the right to exemption from taxation of income in the form of gratuitously received property, notes "Газета.Ru ".

The new rules will enter into force one month after the official publication of the law, but not earlier than the first of the next tax period for the relevant tax.

Earlier, on November 18, the State Duma (State Duma) approved in the second reading the tightening of tax conditions for foreign agents. The document provided for the introduction of a single personal income tax rate of 30% for non-resident citizens.
