More than half of women in Russia are ready to break off relations with a partner if their biorhythms do not match. In addition, for 68% of Russians, it is desirable that the sleep pattern in the pair match. Analysts of the dating service VK Dating have found out how important the matching of partners' biorhythms is for a relationship. Izvestia got acquainted with the results of the study on November 21.

The study showed that 66% of respondents consider themselves to be owls, and 34% — larks. At the same time, 58% are of the opinion that it is owls who need to adjust to a partner.

"Among men, the willingness to change their biorhythms for the sake of a significant other is higher than among women — 73% versus 50%. At the same time, 54% of women believe that different biorhythms can be a reason to break up, while only 39% of men responded this way," the analysts said.

The respondents shared how different regimes can affect relationships. In their opinion, spending time together will suffer the most (28%). In second place are possible difficulties with planning meetings or trips (21%). 17% are afraid that one of the partners will become more irritable due to different schedules. 14% of respondents believe that the couple's emotional intimacy may decrease. On the contrary, 13% believe that the difference in sleep and wake schedules can be an advantage — partners will have the opportunity to take a break from each other.

According to the respondents, the coincidence of biorhythms contributes to a high-quality rest and a good mood for both (22%), helps to organize joint plans and trips (21%), organize everyday life and distribute household chores (20%), and also strengthens relationships and reduces the number of quarrels (18 and 13%, respectively).

"The behavior of larks and owls before bedtime is no different. Before going to bed, Russians most often watch movies or TV series (26%), scroll through social networks (18%), listen to music, podcasts or meditations (15%). Another 12% of respondents admitted that they text with a partner or match before going to bed, 10% read books, and 9% like to go out for a short walk," the study says.

Twinby psychologist Larisa Karavaytseva told Izvestia on November 2 about the forms of psychological violence that destroy relationships. Among them are fatshaming, gaslighting and abuse. According to the expert, the most difficult thing is to admit that the person you love is hurting. It's a difficult experience, and getting out of it emotionally is much more difficult than it might seem.

All important news is in the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
