Earlier, on November 18, the "yellow" danger level due to icy conditions in the metropolitan region was announced until Friday morning, November 21.
On the same day, Konstantin Ternovoy, director of the Sechenov University Center for Medical Rehabilitation and orthopedic traumatologist, said in an interview with RT that the only reliable way to avoid injury in icy conditions is to look at your feet, not be distracted by your phone, and wear proper winter shoes with fluted soles.
According to the specialist, blows to the back of the head, as well as injuries to the wrist and hip joints, are particularly dangerous. For the elderly, such situations are especially dangerous because of the increased risk of fractures, clarifies 360.ru .
