Peskov advised to ask questions about warships in the Ministry of Defense.
Questions about warships should be asked by the Russian Ministry of Defense. This was announced on November 20 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov at a briefing.
"We need to address this issue to the Ministry of Defense, because it concerns the actions of our warships. And, of course, only our military can comment here," he replied to a question about the alleged use of lasers by a Russian ship to conceal its activity near the British coast.
When the journalists clarified whether this ship was a military one, Peskov noted that the term "ship" in Russian means a military vessel. In this regard, he once again stressed that any questions on this topic should be addressed to the Ministry of Defense.
On November 19, The Guardian newspaper reported on the readiness of the head of the British Ministry of Defense, John Healy, to take measures in the event of the alleged activation of the Russian ship Yantar near the British coast. He also claimed that the Yantar was allegedly in British waters. According to Healy, the ship is allegedly engaged in mapping underwater cables, and also allegedly uses laser beams to influence pilots of the British Air Force.
