The Izvestia journalist became the winner of the digital journalism competition

Elena Sobkova, the author of Izvestia, was among the winners of the annual All-Russian Digital Journalism 2025 contest. Her material "Limitless Hinterland: how digitalization will help to revive villages" won the main prize in the nomination "Best analytical IT material".

In total, in 2025, applicants' works were evaluated in 11 nominations. Arina Novikova (RIA Novosti) became the winner of the "Best IT Newsman of the Year". The winner in the category "The best series of publications on IT topics" was Roman Kildyushkin ("Gazeta.Ru»). Andrey Matyukhin (Radio Kultura, VGTRK) was recognized as the best author of the IT podcast. The jury recognized the work of Olga Fedorova (Moskovsky Komsomolets) as the best IT interview. Oleg Kapranov (Rossiyskaya Gazeta) won in the category "Best IT Telegram Channel".

The winner in the nomination "The best publication for the general reader" was Arthur Galeev ("Lenta.ru "). The jury recognized the work of Stanislav Loginov, Deputy Governor of the Tyumen Region, Director of the Regional Department of Informatization and Chairman of the Public Council of the Digital Russia project (Government of the Tyumen Region), as the best material in the field of cybersecurity. Igor Vikulov (Sputnik Radio, Saint Petersburg) received the title of "Best Regional IT Journalist".

Also, within the framework of the competition, for the first time, an award was awarded in the category "Best Technology Blogger", and Alexey Zabelin (TASS) won it.

The Digital Journalism contest has been held since 2023 as part of the United Russia Digital Russia party project among journalists covering information technology topics.
This year, more than 2.3 thousand applications were submitted from all regions of the country, and in just three years, more than 7.5 thousand journalists from federal and regional media took part in it.

According to Anton Nemkin, a member of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications, federal coordinator of the Digital Russia project, the competition has become a significant platform for strengthening the quality of coverage of the digital agenda in Russian media. He noted the growth of the professional level of the participants and their contribution to the formation of a responsible attitude of society towards the digital environment.

The award ceremony will take place on December 10.

Earlier, on October 3, Maria Nedyuk, editor of the Science and Technology department of the Izvestia newspaper, was recognized as the best journalist writing about technology and technology. This decision was announced at the end of the Moscow Startup Summit International Summit on Technological Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and the Moscow government participated in its adoption, among others.
