Suspects in the production of child pornography were detained in St. Petersburg.

In St. Petersburg, several suspects were detained in the manufacture and distribution of pornographic materials involving minors. This was announced on November 20 in the press service of the Department for combating the illegal use of communication technologies in St. Petersburg.

"No later than 2015, a group of individuals involved young children in making intimate photos and further posting them on the Internet," the Telegram channel says.

The police seized their mobile communication devices, information carriers containing metadata and confirming the placement of pornography.

According to a source of Izvestia, among the detainees was St. Petersburg actor Vladimir Kolganov, who starred in the TV series "Street of Broken Lanterns", "Sea Devils" and "Killer Force".

Earlier, on August 5, Vitaly Shankin, a children's karate coach from Yegoryevsk near Moscow, was sentenced to 21 years in prison in a high-security penal colony in a pedophilia case. He was found guilty of indecent assault, sexual assault, and sexual intercourse with persons under the age of 16.
