A children's orthopaedics center and a hospital complex will be built in Moscow.
By 2028, a Children's Orthopaedics and Neurorehabilitation Center and a new Children's multidisciplinary hospital complex in the Filevsky Park area will be built in Moscow. This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in the MACH messenger.
Taking care of the well—being of young Muscovites and creating a comfortable environment is a constant priority for the capital, the mayor noted, congratulating medical workers on the International Pediatrician's Day. The city is actively developing medical infrastructure and introducing new approaches to the organization of specialized care, Sobyanin stressed.
Over the past four years, more than 20 pediatric medical facilities have been built in Moscow, including the state-of-the-art multidisciplinary complex of St. Vladimir's Children's Hospital. In addition, the modernization of existing medical facilities continues, for example, two historical buildings of the Morozovskaya hospital were opened.
According to the mayor, children receive primary care in 46 Moscow medical institutions, including the outpatient department at the N.F. Filatov Children's Hospital. Patients who require surgery or complex treatment are treated by the children's units of the M.P. Konchalovsky Hospital and the Kommunarka Moscow Medical Center, as well as nine city hospitals.
Earlier, Sobyanin noted that high-tech medical care is becoming increasingly available in Moscow. In particular, hospitals successfully use innovative genetically engineered and cellular drugs, as well as perform minimally invasive surgical interventions.
