Two people died in an accident with a truck in the Irkutsk region

A passenger car collided with a truck on the road in the Irkutsk region. Two people were killed and two others were injured.

The accident occurred on the Taishet—Chuna —Bratsk road in the Bratsk district. According to the State Traffic Inspectorate, a heavy truck that was traveling in the direction of Bratsk had its semi-trailer pulled into oncoming traffic. As a result, he collided with a Ford Explorer car, IrkutskMedia news agency writes.

The driver of the SUV and his 15-year-old son died before the ambulance arrived. Two passengers of the foreign car were also injured. The Prosecutor's office is monitoring the progress of the accident investigation.

Over the past day, 306 road accidents occurred on the roads of Russia, in which 39 people were killed and 359 injured.
