A resident of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk lost more than 4.5 million rubles due to fraudsters. The 37-year-old woman transferred the funds to a "secure" account.

According to the victim, the scammers introduced themselves as law enforcement officers during communication. The scammers managed to convince Sakhalin that her funds were allegedly under threat. SakhalinMedia news agency writes about this.

The woman agreed to transfer the savings using payment systems and ATMs. An inspection is underway.

In Yakutia, a 76-year-old pensioner gave 4.8 million rubles to fraudsters.
