PSB reports on sustainable development
The PSB presented the first public report on sustainable development. The document contains a strategy, key achievements and projects for 2024 in the field of environmental responsibility, corporate governance and social investments, the bank's press service said.
According to Ruben Begunts, Vice President of PSB, the bank continues to promote the sustainable development agenda at the federal and regional levels, focusing on achieving Russia's national development goals and consistently strengthening the social component in its work. "By publishing the report for the first time (...), we are taking an important strategic step — defining the principles of sustainable development as an integral part of our business model," he stressed.
The report has been prepared taking into account international GRI standards, recommendations of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and the Bank of Russia. The document will also undergo a public certification procedure in the near future.
It follows from the document that the bank's environmental projects focus on financing the transition to a closed—loop economy, the development of ecotourism and resource conservation. In addition, PSB is actively developing the concept of a "green office" — two office premises are certified according to the EcoPro system at the Green level.
The report says that the bank follows high standards in the field of corporate governance, applies a set of measures to support SMEs, actively involves them in the supply chain, promotes projects in the field of financial literacy of the population and business, and invests in educational programs for young people.
By the end of 2024, the PSB has allocated more than 6.4 billion rubles for charitable purposes.
