Taisiya Iznova, Director of SOKOLOV's Category management Department, explained to Izvestia on November 22 why modern office decorations have become much more diverse than the usual neutral models.

She noted that the ideas about the dress code have expanded.: Modern office looks go well with layered decorations that make the basic style lively and modern.

"I'm always in favor of layering, because it brings basic images to life and makes them relevant. The concept of "earrings to wear to work" is a thing of the past. Now it is important to look in the context of what is happening and be adaptive to changes — this quality has become key both in business and in style," the expert said.

Iznova emphasized that today's office style does not require strict restraint. Large earrings or rings can look appropriate if they match the clothes. The discrepancy occurs when the decoration conflicts with the image, for example, glamorous crosses in a classic jacket or smiley pendants with a strict dress code. She advised forming her permanent jewelry set according to the capsule principle, including small earrings, a cuff, two thin necklaces and several laconic rings and bracelets.

According to the expert, a combination of white and yellow gold looks particularly expressive in a combination of metals, while red gold is better worn separately. Jewelry without stones and options with diamonds or cubic zirconia remain universal. When choosing office decorations, it is important to avoid outdated models with floral motifs and "curls" that visually make the style heavier.

"It's easier to show a lack of taste with jewelry than with clothes. All kinds of raspberries, curls, and plant shapes look old-fashioned. It is better to keep such things as a souvenir or exchange them for modern products. In fact, it is almost impossible to make a mistake with voluminous jewelry without stones and with classic diamonds," the expert said.

According to her, it is possible to emphasize individuality with the help of jewelry with personal meanings — pendants with symbols, rings with engravings, single earrings with totems or pendants in the form of planets. Such details fit seamlessly into the business dress code and make the look modern and thoughtful.
