About 20 students of the polytechnic college were poisoned in Surgut

A mass poisoning of students of the polytechnic college occurred in Surgut, 19 people sought medical help. This was reported on November 20 at the prosecutor's office of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug — Yugra.

"According to preliminary data, on November 20, 2025, 19 people with suspected acute intestinal infection sought medical help. Currently, students are receiving medical care," the department said in a message on its Telegram channel.

The prosecutor's office is currently investigating the causes of the massive disease, and experts in the fields of epidemiology, health care, and education have been involved in monitoring measures.

Previously, 20 children were taken to the hospital.

On November 13, in Makhachkala, investigators organized a check on the fact of mass poisoning. According to the press service, among those hospitalized were minors who ate at one of the public catering facilities.
