The heroic comedy "There is only a Moment" will be released on November 27.
Historical accuracy and realistic aerial battles await viewers of the film "There is only a Moment", which was shot with the participation of REN TV and will be released in a week — on November 27. This is a story about how even in the most difficult times in life there is a place for humor and love, but first of all, planes.
On the set of a new war film, a mixture of nature and computer graphics. Detailed recreations of fighter jets are hoisted on cranes, cameras are placed around, and virtual production technology helps to bring the scene as close as possible to real battles.
"When shooting with LED screens, sound, light, smoke and even the tilt of the aircraft are synchronized, which means that the actor in the cockpit does not need to imagine anything. He immediately gets used to the role and understands how to conduct aerial combat on camera," said Leonid Klimenchuk, a correspondent for Izvestia.
Before his first downed Messerschmitt, a Soviet pilot could conduct dozens of combat missions. On the set of a movie, the actors immediately get into a staged, but aerial battle, where even in the pavilion the machine-gun fire sounds like a real one. However, the film is not only about aerial combat. This is a rare genre of heroic comedy for cinema. According to the plot, Daniil Popov's character ace pilot Ivan Polivanov, after being wounded in battle, was assigned to a false airfield, whose task was to distract enemy forces. But the main character only finds out at the moment of the bombing that the planes around him are just mock-ups of real fighters.
For actor Daniil Popov, filming in the project turned out to be especially exciting. This is his big-screen starring debut. While in the cockpit of the MiG, the actor flew for more than 60 hours.
"I wanted to go to a military flight school, but my health didn't work out. This is how everything is done reliably. If I look towards the screen and my plane is moving, I'm completely immersed in it," Popov said.
The events of the film unfold in 1944, when the MiG-3 was already discontinued. The legendary fighter easily destroyed enemy bombers, at low and medium altitudes, on the contrary, it became an easy target for the enemy, because it was inferior to the German Messerschmitts in maneuverability. But the best Soviet aces managed to curb the MiG-3.
"Pokryshkin, for example, started flying the MiG-3, then he spoke quite well about it. And he complained, the only thing is that instead of five machine guns, two machine guns were also put on the wings. Then they were removed in order to lighten the aircraft, the firepower dropped," said military historian Yuri Knutov.
In the film, a decommissioned aircraft becomes an opportunity for the same decommissioned pilot to prove that even in the rear it is possible to contribute to victory. The film about the feat, which no one expected, will be available on big screens on November 27.
Film critic Nikolai Nikulin said on November 13 that "There is Only a Moment" is a unique fusion of history, high-quality action and comedy, which is worth watching.
On November 9, it was reported that the film "There is only a Moment" will tell about the events at the false airfield on the eve of the offensive operation Bagration. The age limit of the film "12+" is explained by the genre of the picture. There are scenes of fighting, espionage intrigues, but the film is primarily about friendship and love and about that very white moment.
