The Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia on Thursday, November 20, published footage of the detention of a resident of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), who tried to poison a high-ranking officer of the Russian Ministry of Defense with a British chemical warfare agent.

The footage also shows how the detainee, an agent of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of Ukraine, gets out of the car and picks up the "dump" from an unmanned aerial vehicle, and then returns to the vehicle. A resident of the DPR said that he intended to give the "poisoned" beer to a Russian officer as a gift. Thus, Kiev intended to kill him with a mixture of British-made poisons mixed into gift bottles of alcohol from the UK.

A mixture of poisons containing an analogue of the chemical warfare agent VX would have caused "agonizing death within 20 minutes."

The day before, employees of the Russian FSB department for the DPR detained a local resident suspected of treason and preparing a terrorist act in the interests of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. According to the investigation, the accused, on the instructions of Ukrainian curators, extracted components for the manufacture of improvised explosive devices from caches.
