Dozens of swans flocked to Gorodishchenskoe lake in Izborsk
Dozens of swans were spotted on Gorodishchenskoe Lake on the territory of the museum-reserve "Izborsk" (Pskov region). This was announced on Wednesday, November 19, by the press service of the institution.
With the onset of cold weather, birds nesting in the Izborsk-Malskaya valley arrive at the reservoir. According to the museum staff, their number reaches 50, and sometimes 70 individuals.
According to the Pskov news feed, barley, oats, oatmeal, wheat and boiled pearl barley are best suited as top dressing for waterfowl — ducks and swans.
At the end of October, teenagers from Pskov helped to clear the Izborsk fortress of fallen leaves. Activists filled 150 bags with foliage.
