Two gas tanks caught fire on a railway line between the Perm Region and the Sverdlovsk region. This was reported by the press service of the Sverdlovsk Railway.
"On the Shamary – Kordon stage <...>, two tank cars caught fire in the rear of the freight train," the Russian Railways clarified.
The incident occurred at 17:47 local time (15:47 Moscow time) on the Perm – Kuzino double-track electrified section. Two fire fighting trains were sent to the scene to eliminate the fire.
Train traffic on the route has been temporarily suspended. The Russian Railways warned about possible delays of passenger trains. The Ural Transport Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the incident.
On November 17, in Mytishchi near Moscow, a fire broke out inside a warehouse on an area of 800 square meters. m. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, there were no casualties as a result of the incident. Currently, about 40 specialists and 13 pieces of equipment are liquidating the fire.
