This is a linear settlement that we are liberating in order to restore the administrative border," he explained in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

Matviychuk added that Seversk is part of the logistics supply chain for the supply of the Ukrainian army.

On November 18, the Defense Ministry stressed that the liberation of Platonovka by soldiers of the 7th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 3rd Combined Arms Army of the Southern Group of Forces would allow Russian units to fully control the Seversk-Krasny Liman road.

On November 17, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, announced that the Russian Armed Forces had strengthened their positions in the village of Seversk, and urban fighting was continuing there, RT reports.

On the same day, the Russian military liberated three settlements in the DPR, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The forces of the Southern Group of Forces have established control over the village of Platonovka, reports NSN.
