Ukraine will receive long-range weapons systems as part of military support from Germany. This was announced on November 19 by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

"Over the past few months, we have been actively cooperating with the Ukrainian government on the implementation of projects to create long-range missiles. The Ukrainian army will be equipped with such weapons systems," Merz said at a press conference with Swedish Prime Minister Kristersson..

The Chancellor stressed that Berlin is doing everything possible to provide Ukraine with the necessary range of weapons and is ready to continue this work in the coming weeks and months.

On November 18, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said during a briefing that the supply of Rafale fighter jets would not change the situation for Kiev. He also noted that Paris's actions would not contribute to achieving peace.

On November 17, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the French authorities intend to provide additional military assistance to Kiev, which, in addition to 100 Rafale aircraft, will also include SAMP-T air defense systems, radars for air defense systems, missiles and aerial bombs. In addition, Paris has promised to supply 55 new electric locomotives to Kiev.
