AvtoVAZ announced the price of the updated Lada Niva Travel

The initial price of the updated Lada Niva Travel SUV will be 1.39 million rubles. Shipments of cars to the dealer network will begin in the near future, AvtoVAZ said in a statement received by Izvestia on November 20.

A key element of the Lada Niva Travel upgrade was the 1.8-liter eight-valve engine, which improved the dynamics of the SUV. The maximum torque increased by 24 Nm, while 80% of its value is reached at 1000 revolutions per minute.

It is stated that the engine has also become more economical: specific fuel consumption has decreased by 3-30%, depending on the driving mode. Original intake, exhaust, cooling and fuel supply systems have been developed for it — in total, the power unit has received more than 50 upgraded elements. The transmission has been adapted to the new engine. The suspension has a new stabilizer bar, ventilated brake discs and non-adjustable bearings in the front hubs. Externally, the model is distinguished by the design of the bumper and radiator grille.

The model will be available in five trim levels. The basic Classic includes all the technical changes, the driver's airbag, power steering, power windows, heated mirrors, ABS. Starting with the Comfort package, the car is equipped with two airbags, air conditioning and heated front seats, roof rails and a spare wheel cover. The Life version is additionally equipped with LED headlights and 15-inch alloy wheels. The Enjoy package features 16-inch alloy wheels, a multimedia system with a rear-view camera and cruise control.

The Techno top version also features 17-inch alloy wheels, a body-colored spare wheel casing, tinted rear windows, an Enjoy Pro multimedia system with a rear camera, cruise control, air conditioning, electrically heated exterior mirrors, an electrically heated windshield, and a height-adjustable seat with lumbar support.

The Lada Niva Travel SUV currently available costs from 1.31 million rubles and is equipped with a 1.7-liter 83-horsepower engine.

Earlier, on November 14, it was reported that AvtoVAZ presented the Lada Vesta 2026 model year with a keyless entry system at the Moscow Auto Show. Cars with this feature should go on sale in December of this year.
