Traffic accidents in Moscow decreased by 10% in 2025
The number of accidents on Moscow's roads in the first 10 months of this year decreased by 10% compared to the same period last year. The number of people killed in them decreased by 20.2%, and the number of injured — by 9.2%. The Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate announced this in its Telegram channel on November 19.
The traffic police noted a decrease in the main indicators of child traffic injuries. The number of road accidents involving children under 16 decreased by 17.1%, while deaths and injuries decreased by 70% and 18.3%, respectively.
The Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate has brought road users to be careful on the roads and observe traffic regulations.
"We once again urge parents to be an example for the younger generation and remind young road users every day about safe behavior on the city's road network," the department noted.
Earlier, on November 17, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reminded that an expired or incorrect driver's license is equivalent to its absence. For driving a car with an invalid license, a fine in the amount of 5 thousand to 15 thousand rubles is threatened.
