A large-scale landscaping project on Volgogradsky Prospekt has been completed in Moscow. The mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, told about this in the MACH messenger.

According to him, Volgogradsky Prospekt is one of the largest outbound highways in Moscow, about 950 thousand Muscovites live next to it, and it passes over 110 thousand cars per day. Therefore, as the mayor emphasized, the improvement of the highway has become an important project this year.

Sobyanin noted that the section from the Garden Ring to the MKAD was put in order in just six months. During the work, specialists updated the pavement on the roadway and sidewalks, installed a new divider that protects against oncoming traffic. Contrast lighting has appeared on unregulated pedestrian crossings. Modern pavilions have been installed instead of the old stops.

In addition, additional benches appeared on the street, and decorative fencing with images of the capital's landmarks was installed along industrial enterprises.

"We are planting over 1,400 mature trees along the entire highway, and we are arranging islands with coniferous plants on specific sections of the highway," the mayor added.

Volgogradsky Prospekt has become one of the 700 streets of the capital that have been improved this year.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
