Moscow courts have blocked more than 30 resources with insults of Christian symbols. This is stated in the case file, which was reviewed by Izvestia on November 19.

Among the blocked sites were sites distributing pornographic materials. According to the regulations, we are talking about photos and videos showing scenes of a sexual nature using religious symbols — crosses.

"These information materials pose a threat of violating citizens' right to freedom of conscience and religion," the court explained.

Administrative liability is provided for intentional public desecration of religious or liturgical literature and objects of religious worship. For public actions committed in order to offend the religious feelings of believers, they will have to answer under Article 148 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the maximum penalty for which is imprisonment for up to three years.

On September 24, it was reported that the Russian Interior Ministry had prosecuted more than 100 citizens since the beginning of 2025 for repeatedly demonstrating banned Nazi symbols and rehabilitating Nazism. In addition, the judicial authorities have recognized 127 organizations as extremist and banned their activities, nine of them this year.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
