The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted for the resignation of the Minister of Energy Grinchuk

The Parliament of Ukraine dismissed Svetlana Grinchuk from the post of Minister of Energy of the country amid a corruption scandal. This was announced on November 19 in the Verkhovna Rada.

"The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine <...> has adopted a draft resolution on the dismissal of Grinchuk S.V. from the post of Minister of Energy of Ukraine," the rada website says.

It is specified that the decision on the resignation of the head of the Ministry of Energy was made unanimously. 315 deputies of the Rada voted in favor.

On the same day, Rada deputy Mariana Bezuglaya said that Grinchuk had fled the country amid a corruption scandal in the energy sector.
