President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky may dismiss the head of his office, Andriy Ermak, if he speaks directly about corruption schemes in the audio recordings of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). The Ukrainian portal "Censor" writes about this on November 19, citing sources.

The source questioned whether Zelensky would actually fire Ermak.

"Judging by the latest photos, including with [French President Emmanuel] Macron, it doesn't look like it. Anyway, I don't believe that this resignation will happen. It is possible under two conditions — on the NABU tapes there will be a conversation with Ermak about corruption or that he is in a share. Or it will come out that Ermak coordinated the crackdown on NABU and SAP (Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office. — Ed.). And then the president will simply have no choice," the source said.

He spoke about two versions of NABU that currently exist in Zelensky's office. The first is the involvement of Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky in the corruption scandal (listed on the Russian register of terrorists and extremists), and the second is the interference of the United States, which thus wants to persuade Zelensky to negotiate with Russia.

"One thing must be admitted here: one way or another, this story has strongly influenced Zelensky and makes him vulnerable to both external and internal attacks. But in both cases, he only has to thank his entourage," the source said.

The online publication Ukrainska Pravda (UP), citing sources, wrote on November 18 that Zelensky's entourage was advising him to dismiss the head of Yermak's office due to a corruption scandal. According to the source, the number of deputies in the Verkhovna Rada who want Yermak's dismissal prevails.

Later that day, Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Goncharenko (listed as a terrorist and extremist in the Russian Federation) said that Zelensky could dismiss the head of the office, Andrei Ermak, the day after tomorrow, November 20.

On November 10, NABU revealed a money laundering scheme in the country's energy sector, through which about $100 million passed. Seven people were charged in the case of corruption in the energy sector, including businessman Timur Mindich (he is called the head of the criminal scheme).
