There are still no innovations in the sphere of negotiations between the Russian Federation and the United States on the settlement in Ukraine compared to the Anchorage summit. This was announced on November 19 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, commenting on reports of an alleged new discussion of settlement terms between Moscow and Washington.
"There were discussions in Anchorage, and in addition to what was discussed in Anchorage, there are no innovations yet," Peskov said.
On November 18, the American portal Axios reported that the administration of US President Donald Trump is developing a new plan to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, holding consultations with Moscow. It was noted that Stephen Witkoff, the special envoy of the President of the United States, plays a key role in the development of this plan.
Earlier, on November 11, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow was ready to return to preparing negotiations between Russia and the United States. He also noted that Budapest remains the preferred venue for negotiations.
