There are no problems in aircraft maintenance in Russia, the country provides itself with components for aviation. This was announced on November 19 by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Saveliev.

"Our companies are fully able to carry out aircraft inspections, which, in fact, we are successfully doing. And we have no problems in this regard. We provide ourselves, the airlines, with both components and spare parts," Saveliev said on the Rossiya—24 TV channel.

He noted that it is absolutely safe to fly with Russian airlines, as they are fully certified, as well as aircraft components.

On September 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed the need to switch to mass production of domestic aircraft. He also noted that he sometimes quarrels with employees because of the pace of creation of new aircraft for the Far East. According to him, the network of Far Eastern airlines "was lost in the 1990s."

Prior to that, on August 5, Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov announced that the company would begin mass production of Russian MC-21, SJ-100 and Il-114 aircraft for civilian use in 2026. In addition, certification flights will be completed by the end of 2026, after which mass production of domestic aircraft will begin. It was noted that by 2030 Rostec will also create 15 of its own aircraft maintenance points, where spare parts will be supplied.
