CBS learned about Honda's recall of more than 250,000 vehicles due to software errors
The Japanese company Honda has announced the recall of more than 250,000 vehicles due to software failures that can lead to loss of driver control, increasing the risk of accidents. This was reported on November 18 by the CBS News channel.
"Honda is recalling 256,603 vehicles due to software failures that could cause the driver to lose control and increase the risk of an accident," the material says.
It is specified that the recall will affect hybrid models of the Honda Accord, released in 2023-2025. According to company representatives, dealers will reprogram faulty software for free to fix the problem. A notification will be sent to car owners in 2026.
On November 7, Honda announced a voluntary recall of about 406,000 2016-2021 Civic vehicles in the United States. It was clarified that the reason for the recall was the risk of wheels disconnecting due to possible defects in the rims. The problem arose due to a violation of production technology in a limited batch of aluminum alloy wheels (3276 pieces), which may lack steel inserts at the nut attachment points.
