The deputy announced an increase in payments to pensioners according to a number of criteria

In December 2025, pensions will be increased for the elderly who reached the age of 80 in November, stopped working or received a disability of the first group. This was announced on November 19 by State Duma Deputy Sergei Gavrilov (KPRF).

"Pensions will increase for those who have legitimate grounds for recalculation in November. This increase occurs after certain events in a person's life: reaching the age of 80, the establishment of a disability of the first group, termination of work, the appearance of dependents, confirmation of work experience or the right to a rural allowance," Gavrilov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The deputy explained that if a citizen turns 80 years old, the fixed payment to the insurance pension doubles from 8,907 to 17,815 rubles. There is also a nursing allowance, which amounts to 1,314 rubles for recipients of an insurance pension and 1,377 rubles for those receiving a state pension.

A similar mechanism is provided for the disabled of the first group: doubling of the fixed part of the pension and monthly compensation. However, there is no re-doubling of the payment if the person has already received an increased payment as a disabled person of the first group, Gavrilov added.

In addition, according to Gavrilov, pensioners who stopped working in November will start receiving the full amount of their pension from December, while all missed indexations will be restored. To do this, the data is sent to the Social Fund automatically through the employer, the deputy said.

The parliamentarian also pointed out that there are increases for pensioners who have dependents. In this case, the pensioner is assigned a supplement to the fixed part: 2,969 rubles for one dependent, 5,938 rubles for two and 8,907 rubles for three.

"There will be no new federal indexations at the end of the year, however, for some pensioners December will be the month when their income will officially increase: for some due to age, for others after dismissal or registration of care. For the rest of Russians, a significant increase will come as early as January 2026, when new indexation coefficients for insurance pensions will come into force," the agency's interlocutor summed up.
