Many pensioners face the problem of an unaccounted-for period of their employment, which affects the size of their pension. On Wednesday, November 19, Tatiana Podolskaya, an expert at the Presidential Academy, explained to the Prime agency the main reasons for this and ways to solve the problem.
"The reasons may be different: mistakes by employers when submitting mandatory reports, technical features of data storage in the database of the Social Fund of Russia (SFR), leading to the loss of certain periods of work, and others," explained Podolskaya.
She clarified that such issues can usually be resolved by contacting the Social Fund of Russia without the need to file lawsuits. Even if the employing organization is liquidated, SFR specialists can request archival documents or information from the legal successor of the company.
If there are no entries in the workbook or they are made incorrectly, the length of service can be confirmed by an employment contract, certificates from the workplace, or copies of employment and dismissal orders. All these steps can be performed online, noted Podolskaya.
Valery Tumin, a member of the Expert Council on the Development of the Digital Economy under the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, said that some pension payments in Russia are still not assigned automatically, and citizens may lose them due to carelessness. According to him, starting in 2025, part of the surcharges, including 1.2 thousand rubles for citizens over 80 years of age and the disabled of group I, will be indexed automatically, as well as the social supplement to the subsistence minimum, the "northern" coefficients for relocation and the supplement for rural service.
