Ex-Skolkovo CEO Batyrov was arrested for mediating a bribe

The Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow has detained the former head of the Skolkovo Technopark, Renat Batyrov, in a case of mediation in large-scale bribery. This was reported to Izvestia in court.

It is specified that the man faces up to 12 years in prison.

Batyrov served as CEO of Skolkovo in 2014-2023.

The day before, employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Zaporozhye region uncovered a scheme of embezzlement of money allocated for the socio-economic development of the region. It was established that 5 million rubles were transferred to the recipient of a bribe for concluding a lease agreement for special equipment with a specific organization as part of major repairs and maintenance of highways in the region.
