"I do not admit guilt <...> I will defend my honor to the end," RIA Novosti quoted the general as saying.

The general stressed that the documents announced by the prosecutor are excerpts from the official instructions of the Rosgvardiya and are not related to his department. According to investigators, the bribe is related to the supply of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and anti-drone systems "Scorcher".

On November 13, it was reported that the former deputy head of the Ministry of Defense, General Pavel Popov, accused of corruption, kept a rare Mauser pistol and other weapons at his home without a license.
