Blogger Nikita Yefremov (included in the Rosfinmonitoring list of extremists and terrorists) was found guilty of financing extremist activities (Part 1 of Article 282.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). This was announced on November 18 by the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in Moscow after the completion of the investigation of his criminal case.

Investigators have established that from August 2021 to February 2022, Yefremov, while in Moscow or the Moscow region, made seven transfers to the account of an extremist organization banned in the Russian Federation. He committed these actions, being an opponent of the current authorities of the Russian Federation.

"As part of the investigation of the criminal case, a significant amount of investigative actions was carried out, including the extracts from the bank account of the person involved, incriminating him, were seized and analyzed," the department's Telegram channel says.

The court chose a preventive measure for the blogger in the form of a ban on certain actions.

Prior to that, on November 9, almost 10 people, including Russian citizens and foreigners, were arrested in a criminal case on cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in the framework of a terrorist community. All the accused were placed in Moscow's pre-trial detention facilities, including Lefortovo, a source familiar with the investigation said.
