Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on November 18 that disabling mobile Internet in regions that are actively attacking the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with drones is justified.

"We proceed from the fact that our law enforcement agencies, which are responsible and responsible for ensuring security, consider it appropriate. And we consider the adoption of such measures to ensure security absolutely justified and necessary," Peskov said at a briefing.

He noted that conclusions about the expediency of disabling the Internet in order to counter drone attacks can only be drawn by security agencies.

Earlier, on November 11, the TV channel 78.ru With reference to the Committee on Informatization and Communications, he reported that the temporary deterioration of the mobile Internet in St. Petersburg is due to the implementation of security measures. The largest operators have confirmed that communication disruptions occur due to external reasons. It is noted that the network is functioning, but instability is possible in some areas.
