- Bloomberg has learned about the departure of the creator of the failed iPhone Air smartphone from Apple
The Apple designer who helped develop the iPhone Air has left the corporation. This was reported on November 18 by Bloomberg, citing sources.
"Designer Abidur Choudhury recently left Apple, which was another blow for the corporation and caused a stir, given his high status in the team," the agency's interlocutors said.
The specialist is considered the main creator of the ultrathin iPhone Ai. According to analysts, it was not successful in the market due to low demand. Sources claim that his departure has nothing to do with this fact.
Choudhury worked at Apple for more than six years. He joined in 2019, around the same time that chief designer Jony Ive left the company, ending an era that had lasted since the days of Steve Jobs, the article notes.
Prior to that, on November 15, the Financial Times newspaper, citing sources, reported that Apple's board of directors was preparing for CEO Tim Cook's resignation next year and was stepping up efforts to find a successor. According to sources, Apple's senior vice president of hardware development, John Ternus, is seen as Cook's most likely successor, but "no final decision has been made yet."
