Avtotor continues to fulfill all contractual obligations stipulated by the cooperation agreement with the Kaiyi brand. This was stated in the press service of the Kaliningrad plant when asked to comment on information about the alleged withdrawal of the Kaiyi brand from the Russian market and the cessation of production of these cars in Kaliningrad.

"The official distributor of Kaiyi in Russia ensures the warranty obligations of the brand and the performance of maintenance of sold cars on the basis of dealer enterprises in the largest cities of the Russian Federation," the Rossiyskaya Gazeta plant's press service quoted on November 18.

The Kaiyi family model range in Russia includes the E5 sedan, compact urban crossovers X3 and X3 Pro, as well as the flagship crossover X7 Kunlun. The assembly of the first model was launched at Avtotor in January 2023.

The fact that Kaiyi is selling stocks and withdrawing from the Russian market was reported last week by the Telegram channel TAGAZ: Auto Magazine. According to him, in February next year, Amberauto electric vehicles will be installed on the assembly line where Kaiyi was assembled.

The press service of Kaiyi denied leaving the Russian market also in July of this year.

The day before, it became known that the BMW brand was in the top 10 of the Russian market in terms of new cars sold last week, although the German manufacturer does not officially conduct business in the country.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
