Russians will leave for the New Year's 12-day holidays on December 31. This was announced on November 18 by Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.

"Starting on Wednesday, December 31, we will go on a long 12-day New Year's holiday," Bessarab said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
