In the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the camera of a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) captured a man crossing himself, after which the drone circled a resident and left the area. This was announced on November 17 by the military correspondent of VGTRK Evgeny Poddubny.

"The Orthodox cross is an unspoken sign that the Russian UAV operator is facing a peaceful one," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

It is specified that the situation occurred in the village of Grishino, near Krasnoarmeysk. The military commander said there was a huge difference in the behavior of Russian soldiers and Ukrainian militants. According to him, this difference is fundamental, since Russian troops do not strike at civilians. He also stressed that for many Russians, the gesture of crossing oneself carries much more meaning than just a conventional sign for controlling a drone.
