The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has adopted an American draft resolution in support of US President Donald Trump's plan to establish peace in the Gaza Strip. This became known on November 17th.

"The UN Security Council is beginning to consider item two of the agenda. The members of the Council have before them document S-2025 with the text of the draft resolution submitted by the United States," said the Chairman of the Council, whose functions are represented by the African State of Sierra Leone.

According to the voting results, 13 out of 15 representatives of the states that are members of the UN Security Council voted for the adoption of this draft. Russia and the People's Republic of China (PRC) abstained from voting.

The Axios portal reported on November 3 that Washington had submitted to some members of the UN Security Council a draft resolution suggesting the deployment of an international stabilization force in the Gaza Strip. According to the plan, they will have to spend at least two years in this area. It was noted that the United States is ready to begin deploying forces to the enclave by January 2026.
