A criminal case was opened after the illegal imprisonment of a woman in Pervouralsk.

A criminal case in accordance with Part 2 of Article 127 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Unlawful imprisonment") was initiated in Pervouralsk after a previously convicted man born in 1973, who lived in the city, held a woman born in 1978 in an apartment of one of the multi-storey buildings. This was announced on the evening of November 17 in the press service of the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation in the Sverdlovsk region.

"On the evening of November 17, 2025, the law enforcement agencies of Pervouralsk received a report that a local resident was illegally holding a woman in an apartment building on Malysheva Street, <...> posing a threat to her life and health. A criminal case has been opened on this fact <...> under <...> Part 2 of Article 127 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation," the agency said in a statement.
