- The deputy of the State Duma noted the scale of the third season of the project "My mentors"
The third season of the My Mentors project, which is being implemented by the United Russia Women's Movement in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, will include participants from all over Russia. This was announced on November 17 by Ekaterina Kharchenko, Deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education, curator of the My Mentors project.
"The plans are large-scale, the plans are gigantic. I invite all residents of 89 regions of the Russian Federation to participate in the project. We are scaling up thanks to friendship, through collaboration with our partners," she said at a press conference at TASS dedicated to the launch of the new season of the project.
Professionals from various fields are invited to participate in the project.: from civil service and entrepreneurship to pedagogy, medicine and scientific activity. Veterans of the special Military operation (SVO) will also be able to participate in the competition. Kharchenko identified as her top priority to reach as many Russian university and college students as possible who are looking for their "significant adult" to implement social projects and help shape their professional trajectory.
"It is very important to involve as many mentors and mentees in this story as possible. <...> This season, understanding all those bottlenecks of the past years, we will build a systematic work so that both mentors and mentees can find each other and become really one team for the development of their territories, for social design, in order to help the families of participants in a special military operation and help build the future of Russia," Kharchenko stressed.
According to her, regional registers of mentors will be created in the third season. In addition, it is planned to hold "Best Mentor" contests in the regions of Russia and create a collection of the best regional practices of the project.
The implementation of "My Mentors" in the regions will be carried out by the coordinators of the United Russia Women's Movement. As part of the project, the teams will be trained at the Mashuk Knowledge Center using a specially developed Mentor's Compass program. They will also be able to gain new skills in the Senezh Management Workshop.
Registration for participation in "My Mentors" is available on the project's website.
On March 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which Russia will celebrate Mentor's Day on March 2. This holiday was previously proposed by the Ministry of Education.
Prior to that, on October 29, 2024, the State Duma adopted in the second and third readings a bill on additional payments for mentoring at work. The law regulates the institution of mentoring and establishes guarantees for supervisors who will help young professionals adapt to their first job.
