Famous dancers and singers Alice and Ellen Kessler, known as the Kessler twins, have died at the age of 89. This was reported by DPA on November 17.

"The sisters died at the age of 89 in Grunwald, near Munich," the article says.

Munich police confirmed the death at the twins' home in Grunwald, noting no signs of violence.

According to the agency, Alice and Ellen Kessler's career lasted more than 60 years — they performed together with Frank Sinatra, Fred Astaire and Harry Belafonte. The sisters were particularly popular in the USA, France and Italy, and fled to Dusseldorf at the age of 16.

It is specified that in 1955 they became world celebrities after performing in the Paris show "Lido" on the Champs-Elysees. Until recent years, they continued to appear on stage, including in the musical "I've Never Been to New York" by Udo Jurgens.
